CARGO BIKE - BIOMEGA
Working at KiBiSi / Kilo Design Studio in Copenhagen, Denmark I worked together with the Design Team on the Cargo Bike of Biomega with special focus on the frontbasket. My role was to design and visualize and prototype the idea. By creating sketches, protoypes and 3-D models that have been implemented onto the bike frame we created a unique cargo bike for the city living.

Biomega PEK Beijing mixes city bike features and cargo bike features, making it a sturdy and highly utilitarian companion. It comes with a super-size front carrier for heavy duty loads. Developed for city dwellers, PEK Beijing features a light aluminium frame, making it unique as a cargo bike.
The geometry holds the body in a slightly inclined, but still heads-up position, for navigational ease and exceptional balancing. PEK Beijing defies the norm. PEK Beijing comes with belt drive and an eight-speed shifting system, and the front forks have a nightglow effect for visibility after dark. The smooth steering provides the rider with easy manoeuvring around the city, just like any other commuter. PEK Beijing is a unique, lightweight and highly practical cargo bike with a fashionable twist that will make heads spin.
A practical combination of a city bike and a carrier bike. The custom designed aluminum frame offers the ability to easily manoeuvre throughout the narrow streets, passages and lanes in the city.
PEK is designed by KiBiSi and Biomega in a light weight aluminum frame which makes it a unique carrier bike weighing in at only 17 kg. Winner of the ’Good Design Award’ in 2015 from Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.
