For the Salone del Mobiles 2015, DING3000 has created a special brand experience for BASF. The exhibition site is the old customs hall "La Posteria" in the historic district of Brera. In this atmospheric setting, BASF displays materials and projects in a cabinet that is astounding with its visual tricks and ideas. With this inspiring installation, the designfabrik of BASF is trying to bridge the gap between the achievements of the foundation around 1865 and modern high-tech materials. In addition, local experts advise customers on the right choice of materials and color trends.

At the center of the Milan exhibition is the so-called Wunderkammer. In this area, current series products, such as the adidas Energy Boost sports shoe or designer chairs by Vitra, Brunner and Interstuhl, which were created using the materials and know-how of BASF, can be seen in a surprising room installation. Thanks to an optical trick, objects and visitors merge into an impressive picture puzzle - a game of magic and illusion typical of 19th century fairs.
The exhibition area "1865 - Inspired by History" refers to the founding period of BASF. Here you can see the E-Bike Concept 1865, which was designed by DING3000 as a ready-to-drive, modern velocipede. In addition, twelve young designers from Stuttgart have dealt with the age of industrialization. They looked at everyday products of that time and explored the question of how to translate them using modern materials.
