As the Cooling Program Lead Industrial Designer for Gaggenau, I spearheaded the program from its inception through to its production manufacturing. Collaborating closely with our engineering team, I oversaw the creation of design concepts, guided model making, and drove the material & design development studies. This involved active  engagement across various organizational levels, including Chief Executive Officer, the Center of Excellence, Head of Design, Product Managers, and Design team reviews.

Brilliance. Upstaged
As the door opens; light, warm-white and glare-free, illuminates your culinary collection. Within every refrigeration and freezer compartment, the LEDs slowly fade up, adjusting to the ambient light, to showcase your finest food in the most captivating way.

Materiality matters
Inside, the dark brushed stainless steel turns surfaces into statements and pairs exquisitely with solid anthracite aluminium elements. From the flat inner doors to the door bins, to the aluminium-framed glass shelves and drawers, everything in the new generation of cooling emphasises our mantra: materiality is paramount.

Integrated Ease
Experience the convenience of accessing refreshing filtered water with the integrated water dispenser. With the help of advanced water filters, rest assured that everything is taken care of. For maintenance, easily exchange the water filter with a step-by-step animation on the display.

A touch of extraordinary
The new generation of cooling effortlessly elevates your experience. The adaptive light concept highlights and dims compartments as well as drawers based on your actions. Furthermore, the display guides you with animations through appliance maintenance and allows you to select dedicated cooling programs for specific food categories. With Home Connect, control your cooling appliance remotely from any mobile device. Thanks to subtly integrated cameras, you can always check your ingredients inside, offering a connected experience beyond your home.

Chills
The new generation of cooling houses a state-of-the-art, professional freshness system comprised of a chilled drawer and up to two fresh climate drawers that complement the spacious cooling compartment. Dedicated programs with bespoke humidity and temperature control via an intuitive touch display ensure your ingredients retain their essence. The icing on the cake is a spacious freezer compartment with an ice maker, and freezing technology to protect your culinary treasures from freezer burn as well as oxidation.
